Introducing: Juan & Amy!
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008 | Couples, Engagement | No Comments
Juan and Amy came to us word-of-mouth from Jeremy & Brittany (who could forget those two??)…this couple is ADORABLE together! We met up to kick around some Fall leaves, and admire the ducks who anxiously hovered nearby hoping we would whip out some bread! After, we headed over to a little bistro so they could enjoy a drink before we headed back to the studio, and our outdoor fire-pit! I do believe that when I announced they would be making s’mores for their pictures that night, the light in Juan’s eyes stayed lit the entire shoot, and every so often I would hear him whisper to Amy “is it almost time for s’mores?” Apparently, they are his favorite, and when we decided this would be a neat set up for pictures, I didn’t even know that camping is a hobby they are totally into! The s’mores shots are so cute, we had such a good time with these two, and I am SO looking forward to getting Amy’s bridal shots in April ‘09, and their wedding in May!! Congratulations on your engagement Amy & Juan!
Michael & Cathy: Sneak peek!
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008 | News, Wedding | 1 Comment
I’m not sure how Michael and Cathy found us, but Bob & I hit it off with this couple right from the start! I knew why Bob did; these two are Texas transplants straight from Philly, and talk of hoagies, Italian food, and Northern accents filled the conversations (not to mention fear for tornadoes as only a Northerner can have-right, Cathy!?) But, thinking it over, the reason we hit it off so well had less to do with a shared love for good food (remember the Thai chicken?), and more to do with how kind they are. Easy smiles, just good people! And then when we had the privilege of meeting their friends and family, we could see where their love for life came from. There were laughs, and there were tears, and mostly there was just lots of love for these two. Congratulations Michael and Cathy! Thank you for letting us share this with you, and your friend and family!

Meet Tori & Taylor!

Again, that is!
You may recognize them from last December, when I did their session RIGHT before Christmas! This time, we’re planning to get in sessions at Easter, for the summer, and then the Fall for 2009!
This family is so sweet, and these girls are in constant motion! They love to take my hand and lead me to different areas of their home, (which is where the indoor shots are taken) and then their “backyard” which looks out over a lake, lots of trees…not to mention the little stone walk down to the dock that is nestled down in trees…its like being in the mountains!
We’re creating beautiful albums for both sessions, and I will be delivering her framed canvases to her, and her Christmas cards (I’ll post the finished product) in a few weeks!
Tonya Bridal Session!

I had the honor and pleasure of taking out Tonya & her mom last weekend for a fun filled few hours, in this absolutely gorgeous weather we’ve been having!! And, the combination of a sweet, fun-loving, spirited bride with beautiful Fall weather, made for some fantastic bridal pictures!! We ran around to a few locations and finished up in the studio…you’ll be seeing more of this gorgeous bride as we are photographing her wedding toward the end of this month! Enjoy!!
BABY news!
Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008 | Babies, News | 1 Comment
I JUST found out that one of my newlyweds from this past year (I won’t be naming names anytime soon!) is expecting a new little bundle!! What lucky grandparents (and yes, I know I’m torturing all my bride’s and grooms moms reading this right now)!! This beautiful bride booked a First Year Package with us, which includes the maternity session, newborn, 3 mos., 6 mos. 9 mos, and the OH so fun, first year session!! They will also be getting the CD’s for all the baby sessions, and a first year album montage put to music of their little angel’s entire first year!! In addition, they’ll be using a $200 print credit to snatch up pictures through the year at any and all the sessions! I am SO excited to be part of this next phase in their lives, we already feel like part of the family, I just couldn’t be happier for this sweet couple and their family!

Lori and Brandon Wedding (sneak peek!)
Tuesday, October 21st, 2008 | Wedding | No Comments
Little did I know when I was asked by one of Brandon’s family members to shoot his grandparents 50th wedding anniversary, that I would meet this adorable couple…and months later be joining them just outside of Austin to shoot their beautiful wedding! (Do you remember this gorgeous bride from her bridal shoot just a few months ago?) There are rarely ever ceremonies in which you remember how meaningful the words the pastor speaks are, but this is most definitely one of them. Both Lori & Brandon had friends from childhood there, their siblings, there was so much joy and care surrounding this couple on their day, it is one I will not forget. The details were beautiful, so many wonderful moments throughout this wedding. Brandon & Lori, we were honored to have been invited into your lives and the lives of your precious families. Enjoy this peek into what we captured on your special day!

Adrienne and Joey Wedding (Sneak Peek!)
Monday, October 13th, 2008 | Wedding | 1 Comment
I find it hard to give words to what a special day this was…both families are so sweet, and Adrienne (whom I can speak the most about because I was hangin’ with her most of the day) was the most delightful, patient, smiley bride. She completely included me in her day, and I just don’t think anybody can be around this girl without feeling totally joyful! The church was awe-inspiring, and this Catholic wedding was so special from start to finish. Every detail was done with loving hands, Adrienne’s mom did such an amazing job. And, as you can see from the pictures, the love for these two was spilling over, in spades. Check out the look on dad’s face as Adrienne & Joey take off down the aisle, finally husband and wife…daddy watching his baby go, good grief it had me in tears!! There were such meaningful moments throughout, right down to Joey singing for his bride (and the rest of us!) rocker-style at the reception! This is just a tiny snippet, and I hope it shares just a piece of this special, meaningful day. To Joey, Adrienne, and all of your family and friends…thank you for being so accomodating, kind, and welcoming to us, you are special, wonderful people and we were honored to share in this day with all of you!

CCA Golf Outing 2008
Monday, October 13th, 2008 | News | No Comments
Two weeks ago, I had the oh-so difficult job of photographing the annual golf tournament for Concordia Christian school. The temperature was in the 70’s, the sun was shining bright…its a tough job, but someone has to do it. ;) A few highlights…..
Booked!
Tuesday, October 7th, 2008 | News | No Comments
I just spent a wonderful time with Amy and Juan, who booked their May 2009 wedding with our studio! In addition, she booked their engagement and bridal shoots, one is the end of October, and the other in April of ‘09! What an outgoing, super sweet couple, who are finally, FINALLY, making it OFFICIAL (to the excitement of all their friends and family!) They are the “parents” of three pups, who they will be including in their engagement shoot (one of them being the most adorable Golden Retriever, Katy) This couple is thinking ahead and snagging a prized Spring wedding date now, because when January rolls around, it will be NUTS! We’re so excited to be apart of Amy and Juan’s special day!

New: Trash the dress session!
Wednesday, October 1st, 2008 | News, Trash the Dress | 1 Comment
So in between our out-of-town weddings, we received a request for a Trash the Dress session..and we were totally thrilled! Kaylee was excited to have these amazing photos taken in this gorgeous dress, and she was totally game for all the crazy stuff I had her doing…Trash the Dress sessions are absolutely outside of the “norm” but I think we captured both raw beauty and Kaylee’s edgy personality!
